Deepak's First Blog Entry
posted by Deepak Chopra on June 23, 2005 at 01:36 AM

I am excited to be participating in this Blog. As I travel around the world I would love to share my experiences both internal and external with all of you. Please feel free to respond.

Some of you may know that I have always been fascinated by the phenomenon of meaningful coincidence and synchronicity. This morning, I was thinking of someone that I hadn’t heard from in 10 years and wondering what had happened to them or where they were. And even as I was having that thought my phone rang and that very person was calling me.

I am sure you have had that a similar experience many times. The phenomenon is well known and goes under the name of meaningful coincidence, synchronicity. Through the years I have met a lot of people who have achieved extraordinary things in their lives and all of them say they were lucky; God was on their side, being at the right place at the right time. I think they are saying the same thing. In the Vedic literature we have an expression “Ritam Bhara Pragya”, it literally means that if your mind is synchronized with the synchronistic mind of the universe you tap into the local correlation of the universe and your intentions become very powerful leading to the spontaneous fulfillment of desire. The following are the nine characteristics that I have find in all synchronistic experiences.

1. Synchronicity is as conspiracy of improbabilities.
2. The experience is a result of karmic relationships coming together.
3. Synchronicity is orchestrated in a domain of consciousness beyond space and time where there is non local correlation.
4. It moves us into more expanded state of consciousness where you see events and relationships contextually and as interdependently co-arising.
5. Synchronicity is the result of an intention that you have had consciously and or unconsciously.
6. The experience begins to transform your life and leads to the phenomena of “good luck”.
7. There is great emotional fulfillment from the experience.
8. The meaning and purpose of your life starts to become clear.
9. You no longer see the outer world as separate from your inner world from thoughts, feelings, emotions, fantasies and dreams.

I have found the following attitudes helpful in accelerating this experience:

1. See the world as an extension of yourself.
2. Keep in mind that nurturing relationships is the most important activity in life.
3. Keep your intention lively in your consciousness but detach from the outcome.
4. Remain independent from the good or bad opinion of others.
5. Stay emotionally healthy, free from resentments and grievances.
6. Harmonize the masculine and the feminine in your own being.
7. Keep a diary of all coincidences and ask yourself what are the karmic significances and what do they mean

It has been said that coincides are anonymous gifts from God. I would love to know what you think and would also love to hear your experiences with this amazing phenomena.

Love,
Deepak

I like the idea of keeping a journal of coincidences. I already tend to see the world as an extension of myself (though I never thought of it in quite those terms) so enough coincidences appear, but I never think to write them down.

I read your book, "Synchro Destiny", and really love the book. For this last 3 months I started to practice the meditation (Sutra meditation) but still find it hard to concentrate, but I'm still trying. I'm trying to detach from the outcome and to overcome my emotions too. That's because the knowledge I have from your book. I know now that God already gave us all the things that we need, and all we have to do is just let all of that synchronize with our life. And now, I also keep my journal of coincidences. Thank you Mr. Chopra for what you've already shared in that book.

Dear Deepak,

I love this idea of Sychro Destiny, and the power of intention and attention. My life was transformed by you, through meaningful coincidence.

After fulfilling my basic responsibilities to my family, I was looking for "meaning of life" end of 1999 and I was not sure where to find answers for my deep question. It was christmas time, and my friend wanted to get me a book as christmas gift. We went to book store, and I found this book "Winning in the game of life" by Tom Greaux. This authors life was transformed by you. That was the first time, I came across your name. (Meaningful coincidence)

Seeing your Indian name, I was curious to see your works. Got your first book "Creating Health" Reading that book lead me to learn Primordial Sound Meditation. After learning Primordial Sound Meditation and Advanced meditation techniques through your seminars and classes my life was transformed. All these last five years, my life has been full of love, light, joy and meaningful coincidences.

Through intention and attention, now I am able to see the clues and gifts from the universe all the time. Iam very happy to say, my Synchro destiny, has lead me, to be one of your student and one of your certified teachers. Now Iam able to share the gifts of Primordial Sound Meditation, Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga and Creating Health with many who come across in my life.

Of the many meaningful coincidences, I come across, one which I would like to share is, whenever I have some question in my mind, you would post a Question & Answer on your "Ask Deepak" forum, that will have an answer for my question.

Iam grateful for everything that you do. Your knowledge has given me new eyes to look at the world through love, miracles and wonder. Thank you

Love,
Venky

I have many more synchronistic events those most of my peers, and am fully aware of their significance. I always consider them to be a tremendous blessing! However, it seems I still have a difficult time just completely letting go and trusting the process. My mind wants to know what is going on, even as my heart is thrilled to be so engaged in such a miracle! Any suggestions? Will the heart and the mind ever agree? Are they not supposed to?

I like very much your idea of journaling. I will start keeping records of my synchronistic events - perhaps that will start to solidify the trust.

( I had planned to attend Synchro Destiny, but unfortunately it didn't work out. I'll get the book right away!)

Much love, many blessings! Namaste'!

Dear Dr.Deepak,

By advocating sycronicity you opened a new horizon of seeing the life. There were coincidences in my life but now when I see back there seems some thing more to it than mere coincidence.

See this coincidence. I registered my Ist blog just few days back (prakash-rm@blogspot.com) and was just going thr' the mails I saw Maa'm Mallika's group mail of your blog.

It is thrilling to write to you and more so to hear from you in a personal mode.

What impressed me of your posting is the attitude no 4-Remain independent of others opinion.
A colleague of mine just passed a remark which hurt me instantly but I didnt respond. However it made me to think why I got hurt.I went deep inside and began thinking about it. Was it because I was incapable of replying the person fearing that I may not get his help in my office work if I spoil the relation?. Was I putting my inability to take headon under the wrap of Jesus like forgive and forget? But no reply cameout.

by reading the attitudes I felt little cool inside.

I'll be in touch with you.

Regards,

Prakash

I am aware of and often ponder many past 'coincidences', which are lodged firmly in my memory. In particular, I note many synchronicities involving the first names and initials of significant people in my life at different times. I wonder how many more I will become aware of by logging them more efficiently. One new, seemingly' small' routine might effect a considerable shift in consciousness! I believe that small steps are always greater in their significance than they might at first appear.

Dear Dr. Deepak Chopra,

As one of your biggest fans,
Great stuff, my dear Deepak!
You´re the best!
I have one more question, though,
I know you have a bit of dislike against laywers,
so I have read in your books, also doing the audioprogram´s,
Love ´em!
I even Spammed her parents with an imported DVD box of yours!
(couldn´t get it on time for Christmas 2004, though,
those postal workers..!),
anyhow,
can´t blame you, I don´t like ´em myself too, Laywers,
I mean, way too big of Ego´s for my happy state of being,
bliss and all,
but ya know, a man gotta make a livin´ somehow, right?
and they´re always good for a goodasswhoppin´,
As I often gladly do, with a lot of experiece as THE (!) former
Babysiter on the Erasmus International Student House,
were I had the pleasure to ´assist´ 250 students from all over the world!
and their Ego´s, (as our good friend Tony would say Ego in, God out!)
they did not leave home!
(nor their daddy´s wallets...),
why they all dig Amsterdam soo much?, beatz me!,
probaply on seach for an ´enlightend state´ of ...
whatever!,
I only do Wodka, being from Poland and loving to sing,
can´t help myself!, must be something Polish,
as you can read below, some Polish songs, but with the voice I have,
You gotta have some (wodka) down, otherwise,
the next day, you don´t have an alibi for your friends...;)
anyway,
back to the core apple pie courtship business,
what we are doing here,
the question,
right,
what was,
To sue or not to sue?
(that is the question...)
What do you think Deepak? when the intentions are noble?
(the girl, I mean, sue the girl...?)
to the altaar, church, wedding chapel!
(offcourse)
For me it would be putting the Law of Least effort into practise,
but...
Because above and below, I have posted some words about Love,
´You Found Your Soulmate, Now What?´
and then we got Wayne messing with the mind,
talking bout your soulmate is the one you realy can´t stand,
thank god, she´s a capricorn, so once I catch this ´unique´ divine being,
they marry for life, so the stars told me,
but I must say, she doesn´t give up easely!
Good to be a scorpio and all, the most powerfull of all signs,
and besides, there´s no power stronger then love, right?

With the highest regards,

See you hopefully at a seminar Soon!
We´ll do some Yoga afterwards!

Dear Dr. Deepak,
For as long as I can remember I have always wondered why my search for meaning in this life was never quite satisfied. After several health challenges in 2001, I suffered intense anxiety attacks. At one point I prayed for God to take me in my sleep because I could no longer handle the severe mental anguish. The next morning I awoke and realized that I needed to find another solution. On a very cloudy week I found myself at an even lower anxiety state that I had to go out for drives just to be able to cry outloud. It took all my strength just to keep from panicking and calling an ambulance. I did not want to burden or worry my family with my problems so I chose to carry the load by myself. I will never forget the miracle that I experienced after wailing for over an hour at a park that I had parked at. I accepted that somehow I must go on and prayed that I be given some kind of sign to give me a glimmer of hope and find the strength to go on. Suddenly, for a few moments, the clouds parted just in front of me and the sun shone. Being an extreme skeptic, I supposed it was just some coincidence. After a few moments the sun was again hidden by the dark clouds. Still wailing, I asked God to please show me this sign again because my skepticism did not allow me to belive that this sign was there for me. Instantly, the clouds parted once again and I knew that this was not a coincidence. I drove home with renewed strength and steadily regained my peace of mind. Somehow through information from several sources I found myself reading your books and was elated to finally find the answers to life that I was so hungry for. Your readings make so much sense to me that I often find myself thinking that I have always thought just the way you do. I know that things really do happen through synchronicity and that there are no such things as coincidences. Thank you for helping me find the answers to my troubled but challenging life. Dear Mr Chopra,

The very act of finding your book "Synchrodestiny" was brought about by a series of coincidences...

Last October, a friend commented on a crystal I was wearing. I had purchased this crystal 10 years previously and could no longer remember what it was. At the same time this friend and I discussed the Q-link pendant and your name came up as a result of this discussion.

I went home and proceeded to look up what the crystal was. It was aventurine - a stone for synchronistic events.

That same week, in a book store, I saw your book, Synchrodestiny. Of course, I had to purchase it! The finding of a book by you, on coincidences, was just too strong a coincidence to ignore.

I am so glad that I took the trouble to get it and read it. Your sutra meditations have helped me achieve calm and a focus in my spiritual studies that I have been missing.

Thank you for taking the time to write this book,

with blessings,
Rina

I don't feel that there was anything Strange or mysterious about you thinking about a person and then them calling you on the Phone. I know that the world is filled with endless possibilities that can happen at any present moment. I could be thinking about getting on a Bus right now and I may suddenly be knocked over by a Bus and that to would just be a possibility that had came to be in that moment. If you put your attention on destiny or belive in destiny then you are beliving in an idea, the fact of the matter is that the future does not exist, nor does the past, only right now, this moment is the living devine and 2 minutes from now is not relevent or even neccasery, only now is relevent only now is where everything is at once.

Dear dr. Chopra,

As a very practical and scientific oriented, but spiritual person, as the likes of Louise L. Hay,
Dr. dwayne Dyer and Anthony Robbins,

I have this question,

Law of Dharma, synchrodestiny, infinite posibilities, and the rest of laws of the quantumfield,

and woman.. man´s biggest mystery..

after answering the questions to find your dharma,

how do you know, it is your conditoning speaking
or your higher self?

Who is it that asks the question?

why do you Differentiate between man and woman?

Because I am having the physical experience of a male body means little in the broader scheme of things. some of my best qualities i project in life come from my female energy, gender has little meaning, physical appearence has little meaning, am I a Man? am I a woman?.
Who is it that wants to Identify, who is it that wants to Label one from the other?.
embrace your feminine side or you Masculine as one and love yourself as a whole entity and there are no more questions.

The Preambule

Cosmic Journey

We are travelers on a cosmic journey ~
stardust, swirling and dancing in the eddies and whirlpools of infinity.

Life is eternal.
But the expressions of life are ephemeral, momentary, transient.

Gautauma Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, once said,
this existence of ours is as transient as autumn clouds.

To watch the birth and death of beings is like looking at the movements of a dance.

A lifetime is like a flash of lightning in the sky.
Rushing by like a torrent down a steep mountain.

We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share.

This is a precious moment, but it is transient.
It is a little parenthesis in eternity.

If we share with caring, lightheartedness, and love,
we will create abundance and joy for each other.

And then this moment will have been worthwhile.

~ Deepak Chopra
The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success

The Stars...

The Scorpio admires Capricorn's ambition and determination to reach the top. The earthly realism of the latter complements the aquatic intuition of the former. Mutual respect for a social or mystical quest unites a couple animated by a shared desire for security. Their cuddling is vibrant and intense!. But their power struggles may be just as passionate. And when these two clash, the sparks fly! Each is too stubborn to make the slightest compromise. If this couple avoids conflict, it can reach great heights.

facts are facts, baby!
May 12, 2005, ScorpioYou may experience powerful romantic feelings for a current lover, the likes of which you've never felt before. The intensity could be frightening, as your future together is uncertain. Bear in mind, however, that the astral energy implies that any romantic relationship formed today is probably going to be a lasting one. Don't let your insecurities get the best of you. Go for it, and think about your future together.

May 12, 2005, The current planetary alignment encourages you to choose one person to be your partner out of many possibilities, each of whom may think that they have the key to your heart. You can't get to know all of them in any real depth, and this is what you will realize today. One of them is particularly special, so perhaps it would be wise to stick with them.
...well, well....

It is a great honour to get to write to Dr Deepak Chopra. The first time I heard Dr. Chopra speaking was after waking up from sleep after a night's shift at work, in 2001, to find him speaking on a scandinavian tv-program. I remember he was asked what one should do in order to make progress on his path. He said one doesn't have to do anything as much as one has to remain open and aware. His extremely profound and yet unbelievably accessible manner of presenting what I eventually discovered was timeless wisdom, made me to jot down his name.
The ensuing months witnessed my in-depth search into his works. It all started with searching over the internet to find his website called www.howtoknowgod.com.
I am a native of Cameroon living in a scandinavian country. I was raised in a catholic family and am well versed in the bible and in the catholic way of doing things, having attended catholic boarding school and also studied the bible in a pentecostal format. I was questing, unconsciously or consciously, for a better touch with the Self. I mean, there came a time when I had to fairly integrate the fact that God's love touches everyone, not just those who have "accepted Jesus as their saviour and Lord". I was personally convinced that Jesus was wise enough to not have advocated such a very reductionistic view, and besides, some glimses into budhism - through a little book on siddharta in our catholic school library - had given me a very small but significant touch into the boundless wisdom from the east.
So reading Deepak's guidance was like reconnecting with that infinite source, getting to dance with the angels...sometimes I would shed tears at the sheer depth and strength of his writings. Particularly, his posting titled Regarding Christianity, in 2001 on Howtoknowgod.com, explaining the critical problem of the translation of Christ's teachings from Aramaic into other languages was very enlightening. Reading the book How To Know God was a very radically uplifting experience, and like all his works, it is material to be consulted several times, as one's marriage to our nonlocal cosmic essence becomes more and more blissful and ecstatic.
Reading Deepak almost every day was like going to the oasis in the midst of scorging desert sun. His writings have introduced me to the works of the likes of Ekhart Tolle, Paramahansa Yogananda, David Frawley(who's Ayurveda correspondence course I will most certainly take) and many others. I've read his seven daily spiritual laws on his site ever since I first entered there, and know them by heart. I sometimes copy patches of his post replies, or any of his writings on the web, and refer to it over and over again.
Since I observed that I needed to learn how to meditate, again through his guidance, I searched his webpage for guidance, even started meditating using some straight, easy steps I read from him, eventhough I was conscious of his emphasis on learning from a teacher. I just felt that I should progress reading and following the teachings that was so fortifying.
One day in 2004, coming from work, I notice that I have a missed call on my mobile phone. I call back to learn that it was someone who wanted me to cross-check a passage from a library book I had borrowed. She was to write a graduate paper, had borrowed the same book before, but had gotten my phone number from the libarian when she had explained how important it was for her to talk with the holder of the book.
After giving her the information she needed, we talk a little, and I learn that she's a meditation teacher, and she eventually teaches me how to meditate. I also get to know that she studied together with Deepak under Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. And she talks about Deepak's warmth and openness.
Another meaningful coincidence is the fact that I have always wanted to study medicine that is adapted to healing the total person, that is the mind as well as the body and spirit. There are very few people in the public face today who practice that as well as Deepak. It is equally meaningfully coincidental that I, as a previous biology student, and an aspiring health worker should be guided by co-incidences to learn from a teacher like Deepak. In that respect, I thank Deepak for his teachings and as I continue to study his writings, I hope that I can have the honour to be a lamp that shines to show the light in each and every person I get in contact with, as he has done, so true to his name.
With lots of respect for my best teacher,
Emmanuel

Yes, Master Deepak is a truely realised being, I remember the first time he came to my attention, it was when I lived in Canada for a while and I was observing the teachings of Quan Yin meditation from Master Suma Ching Hai a truely realised person also she is. September 11th had happened and after early morning meditation we were having breakfast and watching the News and Deepak was speaking about the tradgedy, and I can remember observing his comments and thinking to myself how much truth this man speaks, I did not even know at the time he was a spiritual teacher I remember thinking that he must be a realised man.I was so interested in what he had said that I forgot to take note of his name, but I remembered what he looked like and his energy. A few years later when I came back to the UK my Uncle had one of his tapes and I knew that this was the person I had seen and heard in Canada speaking on the news years before even though I could not see his face on the tape, I recognised his energy in a second and what a beautiful understanding he has.

The trouble with keeping a journal of coincidences is that there just seem to be so many of them. It seems that once you notice them, you become more aware and suddenly you realize they are everywhere. I like to think that we exist in a universe where all events and thoughts are connected and flow together in a remarkable harmony. Synchronicity is just a play of notes within that harmony.
I feel that when a synchronous event occurs, it is both a gift from God and also an indication that I am moving in harmony with the universe. "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear"
This morning I found this site. I am eager to see where this "gift" will lead.

The aspect of synchronicity and coincidences is fascinating. I read what you wrote on this subject in the book of secrets. #2 of "accelerating this experience" you list "nurturing relationships is the most important activity in life". I would love to hear what you (Heavy D) or anyone else has to say about that. Relationships run the spectrum from horrible to blissful; more detail on this one subject would be great.

Many of the comments that have been posted on here make a statement or reference that there is something wrong with the world, when infact there is nothing wrong at all. The idea that something is wrong with the world is an Interruption only, infact if there were such a thing as a reason for there not being world peace or total harmony then it is because of the idea that the world is not already perfect or complete.Interruption's or Delusions of how the world is or how it should be are the source of wars and are the source of seperation, Jealousy, hatred, conflict and Lies in people. do any of us really belive that evil is a real thing?, does evil have any relevence? does evil reside in this world?. The answer to that will be different based on your own Lies, the truth maybe however that there is no such thing as evil infact nothing exists in this world or any other world except the absolute, the absolute is God there is nothing else but God. So if there is nothing else but God then what we percieve as being evil must be god also?...is that not so?. Evil and good are just human concepts, conceived in an infinite mind of Possibilities. If there is so much suffering in this world then why is there no divine intervention? even though we pray and ask God for mercy or deliverence or any other concept?. God is the Music and the listener, god is the writer and the writing, god is the walk and the walker, god is the abused and the abuser, god is the killer and the murdered, god is the grass and the field.
In the Mind if God there is no Should
In the mind of God there is no Must
In the mind of God there is no need
In the Mind of God there is no Want

If you ever feel the want or need to go and ask god a question then just find a mirror, or go find the nearest person/being or a flower or a tree and ask away. If you want an answer, sit still, close your eyes and let go of the questions.

Who knows the correct way to live?.... what is the correct way to live?.... If you are wise then you will know not to profess the correct way to live. All that is needed is to be true to your vital breath, every creature, every thing is bursting with the vibration of the divine give up your search, give up your need and just feel that vibration and project that where ever you take your body in this world and it will be seen by all and it will be felt by all.

No Person ever gained anything by embarking on a spiritual path of understanding.

No Person ever gave anything to another that they did not have already.

No Person was ever a better person because they listened to a spiritual teacher or spoke words of wisdom.

Narcissus's best game is the spiritual game, to be whole and to love without concepts or ideas is to surrender, surrender your Ego, surrender your past and surrender your future. Surrender to the absolute and let it shine like a brilliant white light. Then you will have lost everything but bliss. an enlightened person once said "If you ever have the chance to win the lottery or become enlightened,TAKE THE MONEY! because if you become enlightened the money will have no value.

For those of us who have gotten stuck in various incarnations in the idea or belief structure of Evil--think of it as the E-veil, or Energy veil. It is the same as Jeshua (Yeshua) spoke of as "the veil of forgetfulness."
It is the band of murky and sticky energy between the "two worlds" of Heaven and Earth that is most akin to our emotional energy (energy-in-motion).
When we incarnate, our souls purposefully pass through this veil, like putting an opaque rubber glove over our soul's sensory mechanisms, so we don't bring too much awareness and memory through--thereby blocking our ability to focus on this life's journey.
The best analogy I've heard was from a medium I once studied under who was trying to describe why "Hitler goes to heaven too." The discarnate guide said, "If you had just lived a life as Hitler and you remembered all that junk from your life review, and brought it back through the veil...," well--I hope the illustration of this neutralizes our fears about the concept of evil--a bit. This is a really cool communication vehicle---Much Thanks and Happiness to Shekhar (?) and the Chopra's for establishing this--I was getting lonely and needed this to tap into! Dave

SYNCHRODESTINY!

here´s a small extract, from the book,
as found on http://www.cygnus-books.co.uk/features/synchrodestiny_deepak_chopra.htm

Most of us go through life a little afraid, a little nervous, a little excited. We are like children playing hide and seek, wanting to be found, yet hoping we won't be, biting our nails with anticipation.

We worry when opportunity approaches a little too closely, and hide deeper in the shadows when fear overcomes us. This is no way to go through life. People who understand the true nature of reality, those whom some traditions call enlightened, lose all sense of fear or concern. All worry disappears. Once you understand the way life really works – the flow of energy, information, and intelligence that directs every moment – then you begin to see the amazing potential in that moment. Mundane things just don't bother you anymore. You become lighthearted and full of joy. You also begin to encounter more and more coincidences in your life.

The field of possibilities
When you live your life with an appreciation of coincidences and their meanings, you connect with the underlying field of infinite possibilities. This is when the magic begins. This is a state I call synchrodestiny, in which it becomes possible to achieve the spontaneous fulfilment of our every desire. Synchrodestiny requires gaining access to a place deep within yourself, while at the same time awakening to the intricate dance of coincidences out in the physical world. It requires understanding the profound nature of things, recognizing the wellspring of intelligence that endlessly creates our universe, and yet having the intention to pursue specific opportunities for change as they appear.

An experiment to try
In my book Synchrodestiny, this theme is explored in greater depth, but for now let's try a small experiment. Close your eyes and think about what you've been doing over the past twenty-four hours. Then move backward through your memory from where you are right now to where you were exactly one day ago. In your mind's eye, conjure up as much detail as you can about the things you did, the thoughts that passed through your mind, and the feelings that affected your heart.

As you do this, pick one theme or subject from the past twenty-four hours and focus on that particular thought. It doesn't have to be anything especially important or spectacular – just something that you remember dealing with during the day. If you went to the bank, you might choose money or finances. If you had a doctor's appointment, you could choose health. If you played golf or tennis, you could focus on athletics. Consider this theme for a few seconds.

Now, think back five years. Concentrate on today's date, and then work back, year by year, until you reach the same date five years ago. See if you can recall more or less where you were and what you were doing at that time. Try to picture your life at that moment as clearly as you can.

Once you've created a clear mental image of your life as it was five years ago, introduce the theme or subject that you chose to focus on from the past twenty-four hours – finances, health, religion, whatever it was. Now, track your involvement with that subject over the past five years and right up to the present. Try to remember as many incidents as you can in that particular area of your life. If you've chosen health as your topic, for example, you might remember any illnesses you've had, how they might have led you from one doctor to another, how you may have decided to stop smoking and how that may have affected various areas of your life, or the diet you chose, or any of a thousand other possibilities. Go ahead and begin this exercise now.

A web of ‘coincidence’
As you were thinking about your chosen subject, how it evolved in your life and how it affects the way you live now, I'm certain you discovered many ‘coincidences’. So much of life depends on chance meetings, twists of fate, or pathways that suddenly branch out in a new direction. And it is likely that your one topic very quickly connected with many other areas of your life, even if the subject seemed totally insignificant at first. By tracing your personal history in this way you can gain enormous insight into the role that coincidence has played in your life. You can see how, if even one tiny detail had turned out differently, you might have ended up somewhere else, with different people, engaged in different work, moving on an entirely different life trajectory.

Even when you think you have your life all mapped out, things happen that shape your destiny in ways you might never even have imagined. The coincidences or little miracles that happen every day of your life are hints that the universe has much bigger plans for you than you ever dreamed of for yourself.

Seeing coincidences while they are happening
Seeing the web of coincidence in our lives, however, is just the first stage in understanding and living synchrodestiny. The next stage is to develop an awareness of coincidences while they are happening. It is easy to see them in hindsight, but if you catch coincidences at the moment they occur, you are better positioned to take advantage of the opportunities they may be presenting. Also, awareness translates into energy. The more attention you give to coincidences, the more likely they are to appear, which means you begin to gain greater and greater access to the messages being sent to you about the path and direction of your life.

The final stage
The final stage of living synchrodestiny occurs when you become fully aware of the interrelatedness of all things, how each affects the next, how they all are ‘in sync’ with one another. ‘In sync’ is a colloquial way of saying ‘in synchrony', which means operating in unison, as one. Picture a school of fish swimming in one direction, and then in a flash, all the fish change direction. There is no leader giving directions. The fish don't think, ‘The fish in front of me turned left, so I should turn left.’ It all happens simultaneously. This synchrony is choreographed by a great, pervasive intelligence that lies at the heart of nature, and is manifest in each of us through what we call the soul.

When we learn to live from the level of the soul, many things happen. We become aware of the exquisite patterns and synchronous rhythms that govern all life. We understand the lifetimes of memory and experience that have moulded us into the people we are today. Fearfulness and anxiety fall away as we stand in wonder observing the world as it unfolds. We notice the web of coincidence that surrounds us, and we realize that there is meaning in even the smallest events. We discover that by applying attention and intention to these coincidences, we can create specific outcomes in our lives. We connect with everyone and everything in the universe, and recognize the spirit that unites us all. We unveil the wondrousness that is hidden deep inside us and revel in our newfound glory. We consciously shape our destinies into the limitlessly creative expressions they were meant to be, and by doing so we live out our most profound dreams, moving closer to enlightenment.

This is the miracle of synchrodestiny.

I read your comments about remembering to have Fun My Brother Marek, how true that is, how soon we forget to have fun, how soon we forget to observe our felt condition in every moment. I see you like to Quote from books, I have a quoute for you, this qoute is taken from a spiritual classic and the person whom wrote it was enlightened right down to his feet.

Normally we assume: I am having this experience. Every moment of life is informed by this affirmation.Moment to Moment this awareness of being a seperate identity is communicated to the whole of life. And life becomes an expansion out of the idea of this individuation, a process wherby the seperate and absoloute ego tries to predict all reality to itself in order to regain the totality intuited beneath the mind. This is the source of life as a dilema and morality, suffering and tradgedy, dark humour and search. It is simply a matter of failure to recognize the truth of our condition, our right relationship, the actual reality. In Fact the Divine Lord, the conscious subject and source of all manifestation, is the one experiencer of everything, and what we now identify as our selves is simply our awareness of the reality of the Divine.

Sounds are strange things, Noises are strange things, I have noticed I can make sounds with out a mouth or without air or even ears. I have noticed that inside we have sounds and inside we can create sounds. In meditation I can make sounds on the inside like a vibrational sound and that sound will rise inside of me as if I were a Giant temple or dome, the sound will resonate greater than it would in any theatre or opera house in any place in the world. The sound I make soars like a wild bird high in the sky and touches every part of me.Even if I am silent in meditation there is still a sound, this sound is deep but not very interesting though infact it does not do anything it is just a sound, the sound I hear inside of me when I am silent in meditation is only the sound I heard before I was Conscious, but maybe this is the true sound of all sounds I wonder.

Book extract
Synchrodestiny
by Deepak Chopra

1: Matter, Mind, and Spirits

From the moment we become aware of the world around us, we begin to wonder about our place within it. The questions we ask are timeless: Why am I here? How do I fit into the scheme of things? What is my destiny? As children, we tend to think of the future as a clean sheet of paper upon which we can write our own stories. The possibilities seem endless, and we are energized by the promise of discovery and the sheer pleasure of living immersed in so much potential. But as we grow up, become adults, and are "educated" about our limitations, our view of the future becomes constricted. What once lifted our imaginations now weighs us down with dread and anxiety. What once felt boundless becomes narrow and dark.

There is a way to regain the soaring joy of unlimited potential. All that is required is an understanding of the true nature of reality, a willingness to recognize the interrelatedness and inseparability of all things. Then, aided by specific techniques, you will find the world opening up to you, and the good luck and opportunities that popped up every once in a while will occur more and more frequently. How powerful is synchrodestiny? Imagine for a moment that you find yourself with a flashlight in your hand in a room that is totally dark. You turn on the flashlight and see a beautiful painting hanging on the wall. You might think, "Sure, this is a wonderful work of art, but is this all there is?" Then, all at once, the room becomes illuminated from above. You look around and see that you are in an art museum, with hundreds of paintings on the walls around you, each more beautiful than the last. As these possibilities stand revealed to you, you realize you have a lifetime of art to study and love. You are no longer constrained to view just one painting lit by the weak glow of your flashlight.

This is the promise of synchrodestiny. It turns on the lights. It gives us the ability to make real decisions instead of blind guesses as we move forward in our lives. It allows us to see meaning in the world, to understand the connectedness or synchronicity of all things, to choose the kind of life we want to live, and to fulfill our spiritual journey. With synchrodestiny, we gain the ability to transform our lives according to our intentions.

The first step to living this way is to understand the nature of the three levels of existence.

Level 1:

THE PHYSICAL DOMAIN

The first level of existence is physical or material, the visible universe. This is the world we know best, what we call the real world. It contains matter and objects with firm boundaries, everything that is three-dimensional, and it includes everything we experience with our five senses-all that we can see, hear, feel, taste, or smell. It includes our bodies, the wind, the earth, water, gases, animals, microbes, molecules, and the pages of this book. In the physical domain time seems to flow in a line so straight that we call it the arrow of time, from the past to the present to the future. This means that everything in the physical domain has a beginning, a middle, and an end, and is therefore impermanent. Sentient beings are born and die. Mountains soar from the molten core of the earth and are brought low again by the relentless scouring of rain and wind.

The physical world as we experience it is governed by immutable laws of cause and effect, so that everything is predictable. Newtonian physics allows us to predict action and reaction, so that when billiard balls hit each other with a particular speed and at a particular angle, we can anticipate exactly what route each will travel across the billiards table. Scientists can calculate precisely when a solar eclipse will occur and how long it will last. All of our "commonsense" understanding of the world comes from what we know of this physical domain.

Level 2:

THE QUANTUM DOMAIN

At the second level of existence everything consists of information and energy. This is called the quantum domain. Everything at this level is insubstantial, meaning that it cannot be touched or perceived by any of the five senses. Your mind, your thoughts, your ego, the part of you that you typically think of as your "self" are all part of the quantum domain. These things have no solidity, and yet you know your self and your thoughts to be real. Although it is easiest to think of the quantum domain in terms of mind, it encompasses much more. In fact, everything in the visible universe is a manifestation of the energy and information of the quantum domain. The material world is a subset of the quantum world.

Another way of stating this is that everything in the physical domain is made up of information and energy. In Einstein's famous equation, E = MC2, we learn that energy (E) equals mass (M) times the speed of light (C) squared. This tells us that matter (mass) and energy are the same thing only in different forms-energy equals mass.

One of the first science lessons taught in school is that every solid object is made up of molecules, and molecules are made up of even smaller units called atoms. We come to understand that this seemingly solid chair we are sitting on is made up of atoms so small that they cannot be seen without the aid of a powerful microscope. Later in the lesson we learn that tiny atoms are made up of subatomic particles, which have no solidity at all. They are, quite literally, packets or waves of information and energy. This means that, at this second level of existence, the chair you are sitting in is nothing but energy and information.

This concept can be difficult to grasp at first. How can invisible waves of energy and information be experienced as a solid object? The answer is that events in the quantum domain occur at the speed of light, and at that speed our senses simply cannot process everything that contributes to our perceptual experience. We perceive objects as being different from one to the next because energy waves contain different kinds of information, which are determined by the frequency or vibration of those energy waves. It's like listening to the radio. A radio tuned to one station, say 101.5 FM, might play only classical music. Change to a slightly different frequency of radio waves by tuning in to, say, 101.9 FM, and you might hear only rock and roll. Energy is coded for different information depending on how it vibrates.

So the physical world, the world of objects and matter, is made up of nothing but information contained in energy vibrating at different frequencies. The reason we don't see the world as a huge web of energy is that it is vibrating far too fast. Our senses, because they function so slowly, are able to register only chunks of this energy and activity, and these clusters of information become "the chair," "my body," "water," and every other physical object in the visible universe.

This is similar to what happens when we watch a movie. As you know, a motion picture is made up of individual photographic frames with gaps in between frames. If you looked at a movie film on the reel in a projection room, you would see the individual frames and gaps. But when we watch the movie itself, the frames are strung together and played back so fast that our senses no longer observe the frames as discontinuous. Instead, we perceive a steady stream of information.

At the quantum level, the various chunks of energy fields vibrating at different frequencies that we perceive as solid objects are all part of a collective energy field. If we were capable of perceiving everything that was happening at the quantum level, we would see that we are all part of a great "energy soup," and everything-each one of us and all the objects in the physical domain-is just a cluster of energy floating in this energy soup. At any given moment your energy field will come into contact with and affect everyone else's energy field, and each of us responds in some way to that experience. We are all expressions of this communal energy and information. Sometimes we can actually feel this connectedness. This sensation is usually very subtle, but on occasion it becomes more tangible. Most of us have had the experience of walking into a room and sensing "tension so thick you could cut it with a knife," or of being in a church or holy shrine and being engulfed by a sense of peace. That is the collective energy of the environment mingling with your own energy, which you register on some level.

In the physical domain we are also constantly exchanging energy and information. Imagine that you are standing on the street and you smell cigarette smoke from someone walking a block away. This means you are inhaling the breath of that person about one hundred yards away. The smell is just a tracer notifying you that you are inhaling someone else's breath. If the tracer wasn't there, if the person walking by wasn't smoking, you would still be inhaling that person's breath; you just wouldn't know it without cigarette smoke to alert you. And what is breath? It is the carbon dioxide and oxygen that come from the metabolism of every cell in that stranger's body. That is what you are inhaling, just as other people are inhaling your breath. So we are all constantly exchanging bits of ourselves-physical, measurable molecules from our bodies.

At a deeper level, there is really no boundary between our selves and everything else in the world. When you touch an object, it feels solid, as though there was a distinct boundary between it and you. Physicists would say that we experience that boundary as solid because everything is made up of atoms, and the solidity is the sense of atoms bumping against atoms. But consider what an atom is. An atom has a little nucleus with a large cloud of electrons around it. There is no rigid outer shell, just an electron cloud. To visualize this, imagine a peanut in the middle of a football stadium. The peanut represents the nucleus, and the stadium represents the size of the electron cloud around the nucleus. When we touch an object, we perceive solidity when the clouds of electrons meet. That is our interpretation of solidity, given the sensitivity (or relative insensitivity) of our senses. Our eyes are programmed to see objects as three-dimensional and solid. Our nerve endings are programmed to feel objects as three-dimensional and solid. In the reality of the quantum domain, however, there is no solidity. Is there solidity when two clouds meet? No. They meld and separate. Something similar happens whenever you touch another object. Your energy fields (and electron clouds) meet, small portions meld, and then you separate. Although you perceive yourself to be whole, you have lost a bit of your energy field to the object, and have gained a bit of its energy field in return. With every encounter, we exchange information and energy, and we come away changed just a little bit. In this way, too, we can see how connected we are to everything else in the physical world. We are all constantly sharing portions of our energy fields, so all of us, at this quantum level, at the level of our minds and our "selves," are all connected. We are all correlated with one another.

So it is only in our consciousness that our limited senses create a solid world out of pure energy and information. But what if we could see into the quantum domain-if we had "quantum eyes"? In the quantum domain, we would see that everything we think of as solid in the physical world is actually flickering in and out of an infinite void at the speed of light. Just like the frame-and-gap sequence of a motion picture, the universe is an on-off phenomenon. The continuity and solidity of the world exists only in the imagination, fed by senses that cannot discern the waves of energy and information that make up the quantum level of existence. In reality, we are all flickering in and out of existence all the time. If we could fine-tune our senses, we could actually see the gaps in our existence. We are here, and then not here, and then here again. The sense of continuity is held only by our memories.

There is an analogy that illustrates this point. Scientists know that it takes a snail about three seconds to register light. So imagine that a snail was watching me, and that I left the room, robbed a bank, and came back in three seconds. As far as the snail was concerned, I never left the room. I could take her to court and she would provide a perfect alibi. For the snail, the time that I was gone from the room would fall into one of those gaps between the frames of flickering existence. Her sense of continuity, assuming snails have one, would simply not register the gap.

So the sensory experience of all living beings is a purely artificial perceptual construct created in the imagination. There is a Zen story in which two monks are looking at a flag that is waving in the wind. The first one says, "The flag is waving." The second one says, "No, the wind is moving." Their teacher comes over and they pose him the question. "Who's right? I say the flag is moving. He says the wind is moving." The teacher says, "You are both wrong. Only consciousness is moving." As consciousness moves, it imagines the world into existence.

So the mind is a field of energy and information. Every idea is also energy and information. You have imagined your physical body and the whole physical world into existence by perceiving energy soup as distinct physical entities. But where does the mind responsible for this imagination come from?

Level 3:

THE NONLOCAL DOMAIN

The third level of existence consists of intelligence, or consciousness. This can be called the virtual domain, the spiritual domain, the field of potential, the universal being, or nonlocal intelligence. This is where information and energy emerge from a sea of possibilities. The most fundamental, basic level of nature is not material; it is not even energy and information soup; it is pure potential. This level of nonlocal reality operates beyond the reach of space and time, which simply do not exist at this level. We call it nonlocal because it cannot be confined by a location-it is not "in" you or "out there." It simply is.

The intelligence of the spiritual domain is what organizes "energy soup" into knowable entities. It is what binds quantum particles into atoms, atoms into molecules, molecules into structures. It is the organizing force behind all things. This can be a slippery concept to grasp. One relatively simple way of thinking about this virtual domain is to recognize the dual nature of your own thoughts. As you read these words, your eyes are seeing the black print on the page, and your mind is translating the print into symbols-letters and words-and then trying to deduce their meaning. But take a step back and ask, Who is it that is doing the reading? What is the consciousness that underlies your thoughts? Become aware of the duality of these interior processes. Your mind is busy decoding, analyzing, and translating. So who is doing the reading? With this one little twist of attention you may become aware that there is a presence within you, a force that is always doing the experiencing. This is the soul, or nonlocal intelligence, and its experience takes place at the virtual level.

Just as information and energy forge the physical world, this nonlocal domain ("without location") creates and orchestrates the activity of information and energy. According to best-selling author and metaphysical pioneer Larry Dossey, M.D., nonlocal events have three important qualities that distinguish them from events confined to the physical world: They are correlated, and this correlation is unmediated, unmitigated, and immediate. Let's briefly explore what he means by this.

The behavior of two or more subatomic events is acausally interrelated, meaning that "one event is not the cause of another event, yet the behavior of one is immediately correlated or coordinated with the other." In other words, they seem to be dancing to the same tune, even though they are not communicating with each other in the conventional sense. This is the meaning of unmediated.

The correlation between these nonlocal events is also unmitigated, which means that the strength of the correlation remains undiminished with distance in space and time. For example, if you and I were in a room talking, my voice would sound very different than if we were standing across the street from each other. At that greater distance my voice would sound much weaker, if you could hear me at all. If you were in the nonlocal domain, I would be heard clearly, regardless of whether I was standing right next to you, across the street, a mile away, or even on another continent.

Third, immediate means that no travel time is needed for nonlocal events. We are all familiar with the fact that light and sound travel at different speeds, which is why we see lightning in the distance before we hear the rumble of thunder. With nonlocal events there is no such lag time, because nonlocal correlations do not follow the laws of classical physics. There is no signal, there is no light, and there is no sound. There is no "thing" that has to travel. Correlations between events that occur at the nonlocal or virtual level occur instantly, without cause, and without any weakening over time or distance.

Nonlocal intelligence is everywhere at once, and can cause multiple effects simultaneously in various locations. It is from this virtual domain that everything in the world is organized and synchronized. This, then, is the source of the coincidences that are so important to synchrodestiny. When you learn to live from this level, you can spontaneously fulfill your every desire. You can create miracles.
